Part 5 - Over Loughborough Midland and by Loughborough signalbox

44780 Over Loughborough Midland
44780 Over Loughborough Midland
This view shows 44780 passing over the Midland main line on the double track 4 span bridge "328".

BR removed this bridge in 1980, and if Loughborough GC is to be once again connected to the north, then a single span single line bridge will have to be built, at considerable cost.

On the view opposite the train occupies the position of the present day locomotive shed, as it passes under the Empress Road Bridge.

The corner of Loughborough signal box can be seen, and this also survives.
  44936
44936 approaches L'boro, on the 17-15
Nott'm-Marylebone semifast in May 1966.

44825   Another view north from besides the signal box shows 44825 getting into its stride after leaving Loughborough.

Final Part - Loughborough Central station, and to the south
